DarkClan Territory[/u]
DarkClan Camp - In the middle of the tangle of trees called the Deadwood forest lies DarkClan camp. It is well sheltered from the elements, considering the mass of tangled branches overhanging the large clearing. Brambles and reeds surround the DarkClan camp, providing even more protection.
- Leader's Den - A small, cozy bush holds the sleeping place for the DarkClan leader, providing warmth and shelter during the cold leaf-bare.
- Warriors' Den- The Warriors' Den is an evergreen bush that doesn't lose its branches and leaves during leaf-bare. The pine needles also provide a slight cushion for the sleeping warriors.
- Medicine Cave- A deep cave in the ground is where the Medicine Cat of ShadowClan resides. It is warm and dark, the perfect place for healing the sick. The Medicine Cat keeps the herbs stored in the many crevices in the walls.
- Apprentices' Den- The apprentice's den is a small bush that sits right nest to the Warriors Den. It is cozy and warm, and the apprentices always have a good night's sleep.
- Elders' Den- The Elder's find a place to rest their wizened bones in the dark, soft shelter of a hollowed out rock. The rock used to have a river flowing through it many many moons ago, but now is lined with moss and draped with branches for the warmth of the Elder's.
- Nursery- The Nursery is a small patch of brambles and thistles that are draped over the entrance to an abandoned fox burrow. The kits find warmth and plenty of room inside this den, and are introduced to the darkness early.
Deadwood Forest- Gnarled, twisted trees(Known to the cats as Gnarlies) grow from the earth at impossible angles, providing low hanging shelter for the hunters of DarkClan. These trees have little shrubbery on their branches, but grow so close together, the branches intertwine and create a dark canopy over the forest floor.
- Prey- Mice and wood rats roam this dark forest, as well as crows, robins, falcons and the occasional rabbit. So many birds and large birds of prey offer great ability to the DarkClan hunters.
- Foliage- Gnarled, twisted trees of no known kind populate the majority of this forest, but you will find underbrush and bracken filling out the gaps of the otherwise barren cluster of trees.
- Ideal Hunting places- The trees themselves provide great hunting spots, as most are low enough to the ground that any cat can surprise a mouse or rat from above. Also, many many birds find homes in the unusual trees, making DarkClan cats experts in climbing.
The River- This small river is a tributary of the River of WaterClan, providing fish and water for the DarkClan cats to enjoy.
- Prey- small fish sometimes swim through here, and mice and rats come here to drink
- Foliage- small reed beds border the river, providing some shelter for cats and prey alike
Stone Patch- Tiny pebbles spread over a stretch of land constitutes as a training area for the DarkClan cats. The pebbles are small enough not to hurt the DarkClanners paws, and provides fantastic grip on the ground.
- Prey- No prey is found around here
- Foliage- The only foliage you will find are trees and brush, the gnarled roots of the Gnarlies eating up the soil.
- Good training times- The best times for training is when the sun is at its peak, and late in the night, well after dusk. Night training is a priority for DarkClan cats.
